is a science of natural health care that originated in India approximately 5000 years ago as a sister science to yoga. The Center for Indic Studies at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth (Dartmouth, MA) publishes a peer-reviewed journal, Light on Ayurveda Journal of Health (LOAJ), and together with its Three R's Foundation, maintains the Light on Ayurveda Educational Foundation (LOAEF) to nurture the spread of reliable knowledge about ayurveda. These educational activities, aimed primarily at practitioners and students of ayurveda, also speak to the future users of ayurveda, which includes all of us.
This website features ayurvedic information, and resources. The menu on the left offers info on LOAJ, the people behind it, and how to get involved as a subscriber, author, reviewer, or advertiser. There's also info on ayurvedic practitioners and events in your area.
