The Mission:
Light on Ayurveda Educational Foundation, Inc., (LOAEF) is formed to disseminate information about the science, practice and philosophy of the Ayurvedic health care system, to provide the Ayurvedic community with a means of communication and networking, to foster Ayurvedic education, and to promote research of Ayurvedic practice.

LOAEF's quarterly publication, Light on Ayurveda: Journal of Health (LOAJ), is geared for all levels of interest, from beginning students to experienced practitioners.

LOAJ.com offers the Ayurvedic enthusiast and the general public access to Ayurvedic articles, a directory of practitioners, a searchable calendar of events, and a listing of Ayurvedic schools.

Brochures and educational pamphlets will be made available to educate the general public and the clientele of Ayurvedic practitioners.

Future goal: establishment of a scholarship for Ayurvedic studies.

Robert R. Ryder, DMD
Dr. Ryder, president of LOAEF, is a retired orthodontist and an accomplished artist who has supported the Light on Ayurveda Journal since it inception in 2002. He brings his strong background in Western science and medicine to the board as well as his business and organizational acumen. |
